Forever and Always

Forever and always took new meaning when my eyes first met yours.

From the moment your soul connected to mine through gaze I knew subconsciously I will need you for the rest of my life. I held back the animalist urge to imprint all my hopes and dreams into your eyes. My mind, invested in dopamine only your twinkly, beautiful eyes can manifest, longed to find the right words to assert my immediate devotion. I knew we belonged together 50 years down the line. You will be the one beside me as I tell our story of love at first sight to grandchildren who still yearn for a story of their own. We, together, will be a living testament to those who don’t believe in the divine intervention that brought us to each other that day. Before sharing a word, my new life in your eyes flashed before mine. Unknowingly, we’ve intertwined our destinies. We were meant to be. I know that. I’m sure of it.

Forever and always I will remember true love as the day my eyes first met yours.
